The report “Fuel quality monitoring in the EU in 2019” was prepared for the European Environment Agency (EEA) by EMISIA, as member of the European Topic Centre on Climate change mitigation and energy (ETC/CME). This annual report of the EEA provides a summary of the information on the quality of fuels in the European Union (EU) in 2019, as reported in 2020 by EU Member States, Iceland and Norway – under Directive 98/70/EC relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels (the Fuel Quality Directive, FQD), as amended by Directive 2009/30/EC.
