The future is electric. 700 million electric vehicles will be on roads globally by 2050.
But are we ready to cope?
How many batteries will be needed?
How many charging points are required?
What would be the overall benefits of fleet electrification?
Emisia and Exothermia, within the Mobility and Logistics Cluster framework, developed HealthyFleet, a new product to address all these questions. (more…)

On November 10, 2022, the European Commission suggested stricter emission standards for vehicles with internal combustion engines. The Commission’s proposal suggests introducing Euro 7 standards for heavy-duty vehicles in 2027 whereas the provisional agreement between the European Parliament and Council on December 18, 2023, foresees different application dates: 48 months after the regulation enters into force for new types of heavy-duty vehicles and 60 months for new heavy-duty vehicles.

EMISIA in collaboration with the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki will:
- conduct a thorough literature review of publications and data on tyre emissions,
- design and validate a novel experimental approach, addressing challenges in the measurement of tyre wear particles by using state-of-the-art technologies and methods,
- execute the experiments and
- collect and process the results.
